Thank You Very Much -- and a SuzieQ Card (LSC204, Thankful Thursday)

Happy Saturday! First of all, I want to say THANKS VERY MUCH to those who prayed for my husband during his colonoscopy last Wednesday. Praise God he passed with flying colours and nothing was seen during the procedure. He was just kinda groggy for the next 24hrs and got too much wind, lol...but apart from that, he's A-OK! Thanks so much once again. Really, prayer is powerful. Amen?!

Anyway, here's my 4th card as Guest Designer for InStyle Stamps. This is SuzieQ - the lady who seems to love shopping! :) I know, a lot of us can relate to her, am I right? ;) I patterned the sketch from InStyle Stamps' Thankful Thursday sketch challenge (I know it's Saturday now, hehe) and also from SCS LSC204 wherein you have to use black as your background.

Here's SuzieQ...

Closer shot....

And here's another angled shot:

I coloured SuzieQ with Prismacolor pencils and odourless solvent. I also used my Studio G mini-stamps set (which I used for the sentiment and for the shoes and bag Versamark stamped images) that complemented with the SuzieQ stamp. If you will notice, I used Dimensional Magic for SuzieQ's glasses (to give it a glass-look finish) and for the shopping bags she's holding.
Here are the stuffs that I used:
Stamps: SuzieQ (InStyle Stamps), Studio G mini stamp set
Papers: SU! Basic Black, Whisper White, Only Orange, Bashful Blue, Basic Grey Archaic
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, odourless solvent, blending stumps, Nestabilities, Dimensional Magic, Prima flowers, Kaiser pearl (chino), Copic Spica glitter pen (orange), Fiskars embunch (all a-fleur), pop dots
Thanks so much for looking! Have a blessed day!

Asking for Prayers..

On a serious note, may I ask you to say a prayer for my husband as he will be having a colonoscopy tomorrow morning at 730 am (AEST). It's just a routine check-up and I was actually the one who encouraged him to undergo this simple procedure. Besides, it's good to know whether your tummy is in top shape or not...and, this would be covered by Medicare so everything's free. :) Please pray that the procedure will all go well and that the result will all be normal. If it isn't too much, kindly include him in your quiet moment with our Lord. I appreciate it and will keep you posted about it.

Thanks very much! May our good Lord bless you all!

New Stuffs and Featured Stamper Card

Good Afternoon from Australia! Hope you're all doing very well today. Just want to tell you that I've got some new stuffs to play with {BIG smile} which I received yesterday from Bizzy Becs. At last, I already have my first Magnolia and first Sarah Kay stamps! The images of Tilda (Magnolia) and Sarah Kay that you normally see on my cards were all RAK from my online buddies. Heaps of the Sarah Kay stamped images came from Bec (thanks so much, Bec!). And I already have the Spellbinder Daisy Heads set! Now, all I have to do is find time to play with these stuffs. lol!

And for the Featured Stamper102 (scrap_momma) over SCS, I chose to CASE this card from her gallery. And here's my card:

As I always do when casing a card, I change everything but the lay out. But for this one, I maintained the image as well (it so happened I have the same Willow image that she used, lol!). I used SU! Wild Wasabi for matting and my Heidi Grace Orchard paper pack. Instead of using ribbons, I cut a Wild Wasabi cs and embossed it using my Fiskars Texture plates (ran through the Cuttlebug), accented it with Prima flowers and didn't stamp any sentiment. I like the soft look of this card..makes me wanna sleep just by looking at it. hahaha!

I'll see you later for my evening post. Have a blessed day!

Yummy Cupcake Birthday Card

I whipped up a quick birthday card for a lady who once showed an appreciation to my cards when she saw them on my gallery and sent me a birthday card last year. I met her online 3mos ago and I jotted down her birthday so I can remember to send her a card as well. I used my Inkadinkado Cupcake Birthday stamps set for this card. The photo below was taken without flash.

And the second photo was taken with flash on. I posted it here as well so you can see the glaze on the cupcake. I used Dimensional Magic for the frosting for some effect. :)

Patterned paper is from Basic Grey Cupcake pad, SU! So Saffron cs and various cs from my stash. I will be sending this card to the recipient tomorrow so hopefully it will arrive there in time for her birthday which will be on January 25.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

So Sweet n' Sassy - WT201

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful day wherever you are. I've made a card last night and it's for the Ways to Use It 201 challenge over SCS. You will look for some colour combos and apply it on your card (this is apart from the color combo challenge that they hold weekly). I used the colours from this site and I really liked the way it turned out. Here's my card with the Sugar Nellie image that Bec sent me:

I coloured her with my favourite medium (so far, lol!), Prismacolor pencils with odourless solvent and blending stumps. The card turned out to be so sweet and sassy (just like the name of the image).

Here are the stuffs that I used:

Stamp: RAK image from Bec - Sweet n' Sassy by Sugar Nellie
Papers: SU! Choc Chip, Only Orange, Gable Green, Tablex white cs, Basic Grey Archaic
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, odourless solvent, blending stumps, Cuttlebug Spots and Dots embossing folder, Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch, Kaiser pearl in chocolate, Prima flowers

The colours really looked good together. What do you think? ;)

Altered Caddy Take 3!

Good Morning! I've just finished this altered caddy for a churchmate who celebrated her birthday first week of January. This is my 3rd altered caddy and I did my best to finish it 'coz we will be seeing each other this afternoon during our Church service and I promised her last week about this. Her favourite colour is purple that's why I didn't have a hard time choosing a dp for her.

I painted the edges with Kaiser acrylic paint in Mauve. The paper is Basic Grey from their Euphoria collection (this one's name is Trance). Letters were die cut using Olivia alphabet and adhered to the Nestabilities die cut circle using my Xyron 5" Creative Station. Flowers were Primas with a button at the center and I added 3 dew drops on the left side. Oh, I forgot to take shots of the left side of the caddy...nothing special there though, just a purple cs punched with Martha Stewart Doily lace punch and adhered at the bottom part. Will take a photo tomorrow and add it here.

Gotta hit the bed now..I need to sleep. ;-)

Sweet dreams and may God bless you!
