Whiff of Joy Challenge over Bizzy Becs

Hi everyone! Hope you're all feeling better and doing well wherever you are right now. We're having another very cooolllddd autumn here in Sydney atm and I guess winter came too early.
My friend Bec is currently having a Whiff of Joy challenge over her blog and me and the rest of the DTs made some inspiration cards for the said challenge. Here's my WOJ Willow card:

Aside from using Whiff of Joy image, part of the challenge is to use a lace on your card. For the full mechanics you can visit Bizzy Becs blog so you can also see the candy that's in store for the winner of this challenge.

I coloured my image with Prismacolor pencils and odourless solvent. And while the cs is still in the die, I used my chalks for the background. I did like the outcome eventhough it's my first time to use chalk on my project. My lace which is a bit peachy and yellowish in colour is from Spotlight and check out my smallest flower. It's shimmering isn't it? Yeah, I got my first ever Shimmerz (Butter Cream) and used it on this one and I soooo liked it!

Here's a closer shot..

Look at that! It's so stunningly shimmery!!! I ordered this one along my ODBD stamp set from US and it's amazing how this Shimmerz adds a beautiful touch on anything. Guess I need to have the other colours as well, LOL!
Thanks for looking and for leaving lovely comments on my work. Just want you to know I appreciate it a lot! Thanks heaps! Gotta go now as I have to prepare for our Bible study tonight.
Blessings to all!

FS116 - It's KATHY! {Wattle}

Congratulations once again to you my dear Kathy! You deserve to have the title 'coz your cards are all elegant-looking and gorgeous. And yeah, I found it hard to choose which card to CASE but then, since I already have my first Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, I then decided to CASE your Bushfire Card Appeal card.

Here's my take:

I kept the lay-out (as I normally do when CASEing) but changed the dp, colours, stamp/sentiment and the ribbon. I also did some sponging around the focal point, heat-embossed in clear the sentiment and put some Kaiser pearls around the scalloped die-cut cs. The dp is from DCWV Nana's Nursery (boys) and they're glittery and sparkly IRL. I took a shot of it with flash so you can see the glittery part.

So Kathy, if you're reading this, this wonderful verse is for you! :) Yes, God makes all things beautiful in His time...and your FS week is one of those beautiful things. Visit her blog so you can see her wonderful card creations.
Sorry for not posting lately as I really have too much things on my plate atm but I will be posting more soon and show you some of my new toys. :)
Have a blessed day everyone!
