HAPPY HELLOS - 2nd Post for Today

Hello once again! This is my 2nd post for today and the 2nd card as well. This was actually created out of the off-cuts of the card I did awhile ago for CAS17. Other supplies were from my stash

I used Darkroom Door's Full Bloom Collection again but used two different inks (first time for me). My background was embossed using Fiskars texture plates and the sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White, cut using the Labels 2 die and inked up its edges with Old Olive (you can see there's a bit of a smudge at the upper right of the sentiment). Made another faux stitching around the image panel which was matted onto Old Olive cut with Nestabilities Long Rectangles (Scalloped). Finished off the card with 4 Kaiser Rhinestones (Lilac) on the four corners.

Oh, I feel dizzy once again, I don't know why. :( I guess it's the weather.

Thanks for the visit and please say a prayer for the missing Air France plane with 228 people on board. Up to now there are still no sign of its crash or any firm evidence to conclude what has happened. Let us all pray for those relatives who were left and for the Air France plane itself that somehow, sooner this puzzle will be solved. God doesn't sleep and He is in control of everything. Let us call onto Him.

Take care everyone. God bless us all.

CAS17 Inspired by A Tote Bag

Which can be found HERE.

I didn't get the chance to play with the SCS challenges lately but when I saw this one, I knew I wanted to create a card. :)

Here's my CAS17 card:

I used 2 shades of purple here, light one for the base and then the dark one. My camera just couldn't capture the real colours but it's nicer IRL.
There's no stamping done here as you can see. The die cuts were all made using the Cuttlebug Olivia Alphabet die (including the flowers). I made some faux stitching (using my piercing mat pack and my Uniball Signo lavender gel pen for the stitching) and I finished it off by putting a silver rhinestone at the centre of the flower.
Thanks for looking and I would love to hear your comments about this when you get the chance.

Have a blessed and lovely day!

Full Bloom - Thanks (My First Darkroom Door Stamp Set)

Hello everyone! Now I'm back with a new card to share with you. I've attended my last day at Hanen Program this evening and I couldn't believe how time flew so fast. It was an 8-wk program (for parents with children having delays in speech...DS2 has speech delay being diagnosed with ASD) and it's really very informative and helpful for parents like us. It runs from 630-9pm that's why I was a night student for 8 Mondays, LOL!

So, this afternoon, I decided to make a Thank You card for the two ladies (Vicki and Lynda) who put their best effort in facilitating this program to us. For their hard work for those 8 weeks plus the individual family home video sessions.

Well, actually, it wasn't in my plan to use Purely Pomegranate but yesterday, I inked up this particular stamp (from Full Bloom Collection set, my first-ever from Darkroom Door!! Yay!) using Purely Pomegranate and made some test stamping. I thought I've cleaned it up after using it. So, I inked it up again this afternoon with the Soft Gold shadow stamp from Hero Arts (which I recently bought and wanted to try) and stamped it onto my Whisper White cs. To my surprise, what was stamped was a very light Tulip in Purely Pomegranate! I was like, hey, isn't this supposed to be Soft Gold??? That would meant that the ink yesterday hasn't dried up from the stamp, has it? But I LIKED how it turned out, though!! Just the way I wanted it (just having a different colour). SO, I gathered all my supplies to complement the Tulip...and ended up with Purely Pomegranate theme.

Here's my card:

Sorry it's a bit blurry. I was in a hurry when I took this photo. I was running late for my night class. :) This one was taken without the flash on.

While this one has the flash on. I also did some paper piercing and the sentiment was heat-embossed with clear ep.

Hope you like it, too. Good night everyoen and let me know what you think of this card.

God bless you!

Hugs,
