LSC235 Money Card Holder

Happy Saturday everyone! The card/project that I'm going to share to you today was from the LSC235 challenge yesterday - to create a Gift Card or Money Card Holder. It was Wendy's birthday yesterday and she set the rules according to her wishes. :) I was in the process of making this money holder when Wendy posted the challenge. I was surprised upon knowing that my money holder (as I was in the process of finishing it) qualified for the rules that she set. And these were the ff:

- it should be a gift card/money card holder
- an image (or more) of a butterfly should be there
- and there should be a Choc Chip element

I was like...Oh! Shoot! I got everything....except for Choc Chip. And so, before I adhered my image to the scalloped die cut, I matted it first onto a Choc Chip cs just slightly bigger than it. And to add more Choc Chip, I stamped a butterfly (from Darkroom Door-Wildflower) to a So Saffron-like cs, cut it out and adhered it to the bottom right of the holder.

And here it is:

I was looking for a template for this but just couldn't find one. So, what I did was I measured the paper bill, did some scoring here and there with the help of my Scor-Pal, made bits of cutting and then VOILA! I was able to make one!!! Yipeee!! =) This money holder measures 6" x 3" when closed.

The dp that I used here is from K&Company Wild Raspberry paper pad. So gorgeous IRL, I must say. :D

This is it for now, have to create another card as I was requested to make a Sympathy one.

Have a lovely day! God bless.

WT233 Very Vintage {Timeless}

Hi everyone! I was able to participate in this week's Ways to Use It challenge over SCS. The theme (WT233) for this week is "Very Vintage". My Cristina Re Baby stamp set popped into my mind when I read the word "vintage" as it's really fitting to this.

My base is an SU! Close to Cocoa, then topped with Choc Chip and this lovely vintage paper from The Paper Loft - Grandma's House. Yeah, this is my very first Paper Loft dp and it's really nice IRL. My image was stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia which I bought from the Stitches and Craft Fair that I attended last week. The sentiment also came from the same stamp set. I used my Cuttlebug Vintage corner dies and I cut the one on the top right corner just so to have an impression that it's underneath image panel then finished it off by putting Prima flowers on the left side with Peggy's Pretties on the centre (this is the same as Robin's Nest dew drops, just a bit bigger).
Okay guys, this is it for now. Wherever you are right now, whatever situation you are in at the moment, please remember that there is Someone who looks after you - always, and that is no other than our ever-loving God.
Have a blessed day everyone!
Hugs to all!!

Sympathy Card

Good morning world!! What a lovely Thursday morning we have here in Sydney at the moment. Thank God for mornings as this reminds us that there is always a new beginning waiting for us.

I have finished this card last night but I was trying to put this altogether for the past few days. Originally, it was just the card base then the dp (not to mention the image and sentiment) but as I was looking at it, it seemed to lack something. And this black cs did fill-up the missing factor. :)

This is for a friend who just recently lost his FIL. She told me she and her kids are very close to him. Just want to let her know that I can feel what her going through and that me & my family are thinking of her.
Card base is SU! Purely Pomegranate (retired), topped with black cs and then with Wild Roses (by K&Company Madeline). I stamped my sentiment onto a white cs, cut it using my Nesties and sponged around it while it's still inside the die. I also then stamped the background image while it's still inside and I like how it turned out.
This will go postal tomorrow (note to self) and I hope that through this card, she will somehow be comforted. Thanks everyone for visiting and be sure to hug your loved ones today and tell them how much you love them.
God bless us all!

Masculine Card and a Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm sorry for not being too active on the blogland lately. I've been organising my unmounted stamps and attempting to make my own stamp index so I guess you know it entails loads of work!! I'm still trying to figure out which among the hundreds of ideas that will suit my taste...and I will let you know soon as I decide which is which. :D

I will be sharing with you two cards which I recently made. The first one was for last week's CAS28 and that is to create a masculine card which is Clean and Simple.

Here's my take:

I used my Clearly Inspired Paper Inspirations -Nature set for this. This is just a very quick and easy card. I did a reverse masking to spotlight the image using a scrap of acetate. After sponging, I then stamped the image with my Memento Tuxedo Black. The sentiment which is also from the same set was stampedon the outer panel for a different treatment. :) Btw, the main image was matted onto a Ballet Blue cs.

The next one is a birthday card for one of my closest friends back in the Philippines. I used Tilda Holding Cupcake here which was coloured with Copic markers.

For the first time, I used my DCWV The Sweet Stack for the background. This paper, rather the whole stack, is really yummy-looking! This one's very glittery but the camera just didn't capture it. Tilda's background is a Close to Cocoa cs embossed using Fiskars texture plates (Confetti). I really like the colour combo on this one...so vibrant and lively!! I just hope my friend likes it. :)

Okay, this is it for now. I still have more chores to do ahead of me. I'll be back with another card soon as I finished what I've started yesterday.

God bless us all!!

Hello everyone! As promised, here are the cards that I made (and wasn't able to post) during the time that I couldn't sign in and update my blog.

These cards were made for Verve's Anni-VERVE-sary Sketch Challenge. The following cards were posted according to sketch #.

Have a looksee:

I will try to add the details on each card so that you'll have some ideas re: the materials or techniques that I used. The first card was the one chosen for ODBD Customer Card of the Day!

Have to hit the bed now, it's almost 1am here in Sydney and I already feel soooo sleepy. :)

Thanks for the visit and please leave a message so I'll know that you've been here.

May our good Lord bless us all!

Hugs,
