WT261 {Something New} Romans 8:28

Good afternoon fellow bloggers! I'm happy to share with you today my card for this weeks Ways to Use it Challenge261 wherein you have to use some "new" supplies that you've got lately. It could be from new dsp, ink, flowers to new cutting machine, punches or embellishments! On my card the cream satin ribbon is the new stuff. I bought it from Lincraft some few weeks ago and it's very soft as compared to the other ribbons that I have used. Here's another angle shot:

The paper is also new as I just opened it yesterday and I just punched out some circles out of it for the previous card that I made. The sentiment from ODBD Scripture Collection was stamped with Choc Chip onto a white cs then cut with Spellbinders Labels Eight then sponged with Versacolor Vanilla ink. The sides were punched using Fiskars Threading Water punch and the ribbon was made using Bow Easy. I decided to hide the ribbon tails for a different effect. I finished off the card with 4 tiny Kaiser pearls (Champagne) and sprayed Glimmer Mist (pearl) onto the sentiment panel.
Thanks for looking and today is Friday which means Bible study day for us. :) Yay! I suddenly remember that we're currently on the book of Romans so my verse on this card is just so timely!
Enjoy the rest of the day! God bless you.

FTL81 Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday everyone! As I was reading a comment from VERA on my previous card (thanks so much for the lovely comment VERA, I appreciate it!), I visited her blog and saw this Clean & Simple Stamping challenge blog. And soon as I saw the challenge for this week, I felt I'd like to play along.

So here's my simple take on the sketch. I don't have circle punches (am I the only one?). Well, I mean, I do have them but what I have are those bigger than a 1" circle and so I just opted to use my Circle Nesties for this (the second to the smallest). It's still bigger than 1" though. :) Well, the challenge is to use circles and there isn't a limit to its size (is there? LOL!). Stamp is from Hero Arts and dp is from DCWV Garden Party stack.

Thanks for looking! Have a blessed day!

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

This card is my take for three challenges. Yes! 3 challenges! And they're the ff:
SCS TLC263 - to make Vintage themed card
SCS FS161 - I know I'm days late, this one's in honour of VERA the featured stamper last week
SSCC29 - Stampin' Sisters In Christ, to make a card that shows or expresses joy based on
Isaiah 12:6

Glad I was able to finish a card before the kids get home from school. :) I did my own sentiment using JustRite Stampers Classic Harmony Circle Ensemble III and while making the whole card, I was singing ♫ God is good all the time ♪ ♫...." which is my expression of joy because God is really, really good ALL THE TIME! Amen?! I just hope that this card is vintage enough for the TLC challenge :). When it comes to vintage papers, you can never go wrong with K&Company. Most of their dps have the touch of Vintage and they really look gorgeous.

I stamped my sentiment with Versacolor Old Rose, cut with circle Nesties and matted onto Scalloped Circle Nesties. I did some distressing around the dp and around the circle as well. You may notice some snips on the ribbon, well I did it on purpose to add an aged look/effect.

Okay, time for a very late lunch. Thanks for the visit and don't forget to leave a comment or two.

God bless us all!

CAS57 Congratulations

Good morning everyone! Here's my simple take for the CAS57 challenge this week. The theme is "A Different Shape-abilities" wherein you'll use different shape die cut on top of another die cut shape (am I making sense? LOL!) I guess you get the picture upon seeing my card. :) This is an engagement card requested by a churchmate for her friend.

The image is from Kaisercraft, stamped with Versafine Crimson Red and heat-embossed with clear ep. I also did the same thing for the sentiment which is from Stampendous. (I used my Stamp a Majig on this one). It really comes handy especially when you want to stamp near the edge of the card directly. ;-) The lovey dp is from K&Company Classic K Charlotte. My pearl is also from K&Company which I bought from OZTION and arrived yesterday.

Thanks for looking and have a lovely day!

God bless.
