TRUST IN THE LORD

Hello blogworld! Hope all is well with you. Well, I'm finally done with a card which is supposed to be my entry for the ODBD2AC4 "All Time Favourite ODBD Set" but I came in late!! :( Anyways, I honestly enjoyed making this card because the verse is one of my favourites! And as the saying goes, it's not the destination, but the journey. ;-) I'm sure you all can relate with me.

I stamped my verse onto white cs with Versacolor Turqouise and then stamped a flower image (for a background) using Versacolor Vanilla. I purchased this flower stamp awhile ago from Jemac Rubber Stamps and I couldn't wait to ink it hence, its appearance on this card. LOL! I then cut the stamped verse with Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, and made a frame out of it using the other side of my dp. I adhered the frame using pop dots for dimension. Oh, btw, this gorgeous dsp is from K&Company Charlotte 12x12 pad. Theyre' actually more gorgeous IRL. Here's a closer look to see the dimension..

Instead of a bow, I used flowers instead (for a change). These are just assorted flowers and the one in the middle is actually white. I just sponged some ink on it with the same ink I used with my verse to complement each other.
This is all for now. I hope you had a lovely day if your're in Australia ('coz it's almost Thursday here already) or you're having a lovely day if you belong to the other parts of the world.
God loves you and cares for you, always remember that!
Hugs,
Jhet

ODBD2AC3 Ephesians 2:8

Hi everyone! Here's my take for the ODBD2AC3 challenge! I hope my card will still qualify! I only have 3mins before the challenge closes so I'm really in a rush!!
The challenge is to use Gold and/or Silver. Good thing I still have a piece of this gold cs that I used months ago for a card. I embossed it with Fiskars "Woodgrain" texture plate which I bought yesterday. I used a verse from ODBD Scripture Collection 2, stamped with Versafine and heat-embossed with clear ep. I then cut it in half using Spellbinders Labels One and matted it onto a Real Red cs. Bow was done using Bow Easy. The border in the horizontal panel was punched with Fiskars embossing punch. (sorry I forgot the name, lol!)
Thanks for looking! Now I'm off to have a big brekky! :)
God bless everyone!

SSCC30,CAS58 2 Timothy 1:7

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I didn't do much around the house today as it's my darling hubby's off and we just enjoyed the day being together. ♥ We went out for a little while and was able to buy myself some Fiskars texture plates that are on special. Nothing beats being with your hubby, I mean having just "us" time.

Anyway, here's my card for today's CAS58 challenge (to use green and brown) and for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge#30 (taken from Psalm 29:11, to make a card using a peaceful image or a verse about peace) I chose 2 Timothy 1:7 because, as being said here that God did not give us a spirit of fear only means that He has given us PEACE instead. I believe there is peace when there is an absence of fear. Amen?

I stamped my verse with Choc Chip and I stamped a background stamp onto it (though you can't see it clearly here) using Versacolor Vanilla. Cut a piece of Wild Wasabi (retired) for my vertical panel, embossed it with Fiskars Texture plate (Leaves), punched both sides with Fiskars Threading Water punch then finished it off with chocolate satin ribbon and bow, with flower and a rhinestone at the center. Clean and simple, quick and easy card!

Thanks for looking and may you all experience God's peace today.

Hugs,

Jhet

IC223 Thanking God

It's Saturday (which means I don't have to wake up early the next day) that's why I was able to somehow stay up late and played for the Inspiration Challenge223 for this week over SCS.

Stef & Bonnie chose this Warm Biscuit site to get our inspiration from. The beddings are all gorgeous that's why it was so hard to choose. They're all inspiring! Anyways, I chose this pink twin bedding as an inspiration for my card. I used my "new" (well new for me) Martha Stewart Cosmos punch which I bought a couple of weeks ago. I tried to make this card as simple as possible and I used my Clear Dollar Stamps' Christian Tag for my focal image/sentiment.

Thanks so much for the visit. Good night and sweet dreams!
