SC276 Romans 8:28 in Groovy Guava

Wohoo! This is my 2nd card for today! (and 2nd post, too!) I was able to play with SCS' sketch challenge (SC276) early as my Mojo's kicking up despite of the migraine attacks. It's all gone now actually, praise God for that! If you want to see my earlier post, just kindly scroll down. :)

Here's my card:

I used the retired Groovy Guava as my base and dps from Heidi Grace Orchard paper pack. I've noticed that I have been neglecting these papers for months now so I decided to use them in this particular card. The Bible verse is from ODBD Scripture Collection 1. I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, cut with Labels Eight then sponged around it softly with Groovy Guava ink. And to finished it off, I adorned it with black Kaiser pearls and assorted flowers with a paper rose I bought from EBAY recently. The verse panel and the flowers were sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl (my one and only Glimmer Mist atm, LOL!).

Thanks so much for the visit once again. I appreciate it as well as your comments.

Blessings!
Jhet

SSCC#34 and CC266 {Mark 11:24}

Happy Wednesday everyone! I've been having mini-migraine attacks since last night but thank God I'm still somehow productive around the house and in my craft table. LOL! Yesterday, I didn't make a card as I was practicing how to colour with Copics. I've coloured quite a bit and I was practicing with the colouring of skin/face. I will be showing you the differences and my progress (ahem!) on my next post. :)

Okay, on to my card. This is my take for this week's Colour Combination Challenge (CC266) over SCS. And the colours for this week are the ff:
- Ruby Red
- Cameo Coral
- Blush Blossom

Lovely colours!! I'm also combining this to SSCC#34 taken from Philippians 4:4-7:

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

The challenge is to make a project/card about prayer and/or peace. My Bible verse is one of my favourites and I printed onto Blush Blossom with brown ink. I cut it with Labels Four and matted it onto Ruby Red also cut with the same die, the next size up. The Blush Blossom panel was embossed with Fiskars texture plates (Feathers) and the verse panel were both sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl. I finished off the card with some Chocolate pearls, chocolate satin ribbon (made with Bow Easy) and assorted flowers with a paper rose.

I really like this Bible verse as it gives me the sense of security knowing that our God hears and answers prayers. We just really have to believe by faith and our prayers will be answered.
Thanks so much for the visit. God bless us all.
Hugs,
Jhet

MDUC41, OCC and FS166 {Black & White Tilda}

Hi everyone! Today's card is my entry for Magnolia Down Under Challenge #41 (and my entry to Featured Stamper 166, too!). MDUC had set a theme which is "Olden Days". We are to colour Tilda in black, white and greys and the papers to be used are either colourful or with vintage look. My Tilda was coloured with black and different degrees of "greys" from my Prismacolor pencils. I didn't have any problem colouring her skin as she's already white and she has to be black and white. LOL!! Yeah, she should be black and white but I can't help myself so I coloured the bow on her hat with red. I stamped it twice and popped up the 2nd one for dimension. The bow is the only one coloured with Copic marker (Lipstick Red).

The oval background was cut with Oval Nestabilities, sponged with Versafine Smokey Grey and Vintage Sepia then embossed with Cuttlebug Script embossing folder. This card is also a CASE'd of PatSmethers' Comfort of Home card. It was so hard choosing which card to CASE on her gallery as they're all gorgeous and lovely. I ended up CASEing the said card to combine it with MDUC since she used an image of a Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellie and I'll be using Tilda. :)

ETA: I'm also entering this card to Our Creative Corner Challenge - Bows! Perfect timing!

I finished off the card with some Kaiser pearls and a red bow made by Bow Easy!! Honestly, I'm not into ribbons before. In fact, I have lots of satin ribbons being hoarded and were never used but not until Bow Easy was introduced to me - I was given a whole new perspective about ribbons!! LOL!!!
Thanks for looking and for your lovely comments. I really, really appreciate it.
God bless you!

Got Some "NEW" Stuffs

And I feel so blessed! The first photo are the stuffs lovely Jackie sent me few days ago. Look at all those stamped Magnolia images!! YAY! Got a lot of colouring to do. LOL! And of course, the gorgeous handmade card from her. Thanks so much Jackie, I really, really appreciate it.

And the 2nd photo are the stuffs that I bought from Sammi's Mad for Markers Shop. My Copics are growing, YAY! I purchased the X-press It Blending card and Sammi also gave me a pack of Neenah Classic Crest paper so I could try it, too. Thanks heaps, Sam! You're such a sweetie! Visit Mad for Markers store so you can avail of the cheapest Copic Ciaos in Australia and the blending papers that work well with it.

Okay, I'm going back to my house chores for now. I'll see you next post.
Have a blessed Monday!

ODBDSLC9 Pink and Blue

I already feel a bit tired and sleepy but I want to share with you first what I've accomplished this day. This card is for ODBDSLC9 and it's actually a sketch:

And here's my card:

These are not my usual colours but I gave it a try for a change. The dps are both from Basic Grey; Urban Prairie and Lilykate. My Bible verse is from ODBD Scripture Collection 1 which was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, cut with Circle Nestabilities, sponged with Versacolor Petal Pink and Orchid while still inside the die and matted with black Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. All panels were sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl except for the card base. I also did some piercing around the center panel and the bow was made using Bow Easy!

Thanks for looking. I'm off to sleep now. Hope you are having a great day or you had a great day as I did. We had our Fellowship Dinner after our church service and it was really fun and there were lots of foods and picture-taking. ☺

Thanks so much for looking and I'll see you again next post.

God bless you!

MMSC48 & Mad for Markers Challenge Card

Hi everyone! I'm glad as I was able to finish my card for two challenges:

- Mad for Markers Challenge #1 (to use Copic colours EOO, R20 and BG15)
- Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 48

I kept the card simple and experimented colouring Tilda. LOL!! I got my new COPICS yesterday from Sammi which means I have added few colours on my growing Copic markers and I already have the R20 that qualifies me to play for Mad for Markers challenge! YAY! And yes, we met each other personally for the first time. Thanks so much Sam for your warm reception. :)

For MMSC48, obviously we have a sketch to follow. ;-) And this is also my first time to join in their challenge and I'm so excited and so looking forward to participate in their future challenges.
This Tilda is another RAK I received from Bec last year and I coloured her with Copics (will give the colours tomorrow as I already feel so sleepy, it's almost 2AM here!) I played with her colours as I always colour her hair brown. I wanted it to be a bit different this time and I glad it somehow turned okay. What do you think?

The dp I used is from Basic Grey Urban Prairie. More deets tomorrow --promise!
Have a blessed Sunday!
ETA: Here are the Copic colours that I used:
Face/Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair: E51, E25, E29
Clothes/Shoes: BG15, R00, R20, Y11, Y21
Basket of Flowers: E25, E29, E51, YG17
(I highlighted the colours that are included in Mad for Markers Challenge #1)
Thanks for the visit! ♥
